The distilleries on the Isle of Islay are so unique they have their very own distinction from other Island whiskies, the coastline is dotted with names such as Lagavulin and Laphroaig. On first impression this Ardbeg Blaaack whiffs of peated smoke which fades to a lemon tart and summer berries, The peat continues filling the first taste on your tongue only smoother, and as your tastebuds adjust the cherry and other berry tart takes over with a hint of sea salt and a campfire which stays with you on a long finish which is light and sharp slightly minty.
